Sarbananda Sonowal The Minister For Entrepreneurship Development

Sarbananda Sonowal; The Minister For Entrepreneurship Development

This is the first time in India when a separate ministry for Entrepreneurship has been formed which is lead my minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Mr Sonowal is an MP from the Lakhimpur constituency of Assam, and has been appointed as the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

This is indeed a great news for entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs of the county. We have seen huge response from them in the social media from last two days. This step taken by the new NaMo Government has been praised nationwide and gave the NaMo Government many more fans.

Indian entrepreneurship culture is taking pace rapidly in past years which have seen many global leaders in retailing, technology and many other fields. Hence, the initiative of a separate ministry for entrepreneurship is surely going to make a huge impact mostly on youth to attract them towards entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem.

Apart from the new Modi Government, BJP in their election manifesto also promised to work for the technology enhancement in India by setting Wi-Fi zones in high tech cities. This clearly states that now the political parties are concentrating on the entrepreneurship ecosystem to make more self-employment in India.

Though the ministry has been formed but the exact structure and working procedure is yet to be decided.

India is targeting for upskilling over 500 million people by 2022 by fostering the entrepreneurial culture through many skill development programs.

We would love to see how this entrepreneurship ministry will bring significant change and how the entrepreneurship policy will be implemented to create more starups, business men and entrepreneurs.
