Hire4Drive: On-demand Chauffeur Platform To Take On Uber and Ola

- - Startup Stories

With the revolution of on demand economy instigated by Uber and Ola, we have seen many startups trying to capture this space with individual approaches. While companies like Uber want the people to stop buying cars, still India has 18 cars per 1,000 people and this number is supposed to increase to 35 cars per 1,000 people by 2025.

With the increasing number of car ownerships, the infrastructure to support it not growing at the same pace and traffic remains the main concern for most. Recognizing this gap, Hire4Drive caters to the need of the personal car owners who want to hire a driver occasionally.

Hire4Drive

Hire4drive is an on demand platform which connects car owners with drivers for hiring as per their need. Not only driver, it also let the users hire a cab on hourly basis and for outstation ride at a very cost effective manner with ease of making bookings. It has four verticals, Hourly Round Trip Service, One way Service, Outstation Trips & Outstation one way.

The platform charges on an hourly and per minute basis, similarly to all other on demand service aggregators. For hiring a driver it charges Rs 199 for 2 hours and then Rs 1 per minute in local transport. Prices for other services can be found on the Hire4Drive website.

On the Hire4Drive Android app the customers can book, track and pay for premium driver and cab services. Drivers provided by Hire4Drive are sophisticated, well-spoken and well-mannered.

Started by Kishan Kanodia, Sivaramprasad Bolla and Antarjot Singh, Hire4Drive lets private car owners hire a driver at the touch of a button. Once the user sets their location and time, the app assigns a driver to them. The app has Google Maps integrated so that the users can track the assigned driver in real-time. Once the driver reaches the assigned location, you hand over the car keys and he drives you to your destination taking all the hassles of driving in traffic during the rush hours.
