In Conversation With Roshan Mahapatra, Co-Founder & CEO Of Kroble

Kroble is the world’s first unified socio-commerce ecosystem. The platform is founded by a NRI trio who wanted to bring a change to the way people deal with their day-to-day lives.

I happen to know Roshan, the founder of Kroble for quite some time now and talked about Kroble a few times on social media.

They launched the platform yesterday and being known to each other for a long time I was able to interview Roshan to understand how Kroble can ease the life of customers as well as businesses.

How did you get the idea to develop Kroble?

Well, this is quite interesting; Samuel (co-founder) and I were looking for an animation video for a short project. We surfed for days, looked for all Social Media assistance, asked our friends and pals but all in vain. Eventually, a common friend of ours referred us to a person who could make it.

That’s when we realized that why don’t we make a place where services like this can be available, and people don’t have to waste days and days in looking for it.  We created the prototype, business case, and a short market research. Thus Kroble was born.

What was your mission at the outset?

We want to Empower, Outreach, and Outperform.

At Kroble we firmly believe that all of us are special, no wonder that’s why we are humans :). We want to empower service providers (user as a seller) to monetize their skills and customers (user as a buyer) to have the best in the class of service delivered.

We always have our endurance of making Kroble as “YOU” centric, being the single point of contact for all your service needs. No hassle, just Kroble it.

We also wanted to give back to our community and empower them hence we integrated KLOG (community blogging) and KLIFT (Community Empowerment) as a part of Kroble.

What services & product does Kroble offer?

We have done extensive work to ensure that Kroble caters to all the services that humanly possible. As of today, we have 150+ service offerings across 12 verticals and are continuously working to increase it further. To list some of them are Animation, Voiceover, Graphics, Video and the list just goes on.

What is unique about Kroble?

Any plans to launch the platform internationally soon?

“Connect Global” Is in the genes of Kroble. I firmly believe that we must outreach as long as our mind and thought process can take us. We got our Global HQ based out in London, UK and have plans of having the APAC HQ in India and States HQ in New York shortly. 

What does success look like down the years for Kroble?

Positive and promising!

I believe our efforts, commitment with right decisions will help to achieve success in the coming years! We just love to do what we are doing today, and we are firmly committed to making it better day in and out.

Our success would be a yardstick of our customer satisfaction. We want to see Kroble being an integral part of each and everyone’s life.

What’s the Current Runway, and What Are Future Funding Plans?

Kroble has been entirely self-funded so far, and we plan on going for a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

We have our doors opened for investors who have the same level of thinking like us and would drive Kroble for the betterment.

To what do you attribute your success?

Ruthless persistence and never give up attitude. I strike the chord effectively with my out of box thinking. All this has been possible for the amazing team that I have. Samuel and Hassaram have been absolutely great. Of course, there is a huge family support for all of us. We feel blessed to have been in this era with some of the amazing people around us.

What do you look for in an employee? The most important thing to us is that they fit into you Kroble Culture?

We look for employees who can set their egos aside and ask questions like “I don’t know how – can you help me?”

We look for aspiring entrepreneurs who are self-motivated and possess like-minded approach towards work and delivery with a human touch. Also, people with trait – Curiosity. As I believe curiosity is a wonderful indicator of intellect and, oddly enough, modesty, because curious people are willing to admit they don’t know and are then willing to work to learn. Every business needs it. At Kroble, we just don’t look for employees; we look for leaders and entrepreneurs.

If you had one piece of advice aspiring entrepreneurs, what would it be?

Make your own future! Create and be part of something that is bigger than you. Nobody is going to give it to you; you have to work for your dreams. There are no guarantees on success. In order to win big, you have to take calculated risks. You will find that nothing great just happens on its own, you can’t sit on the sidelines and wait for it. Be ruthlessly persistent and have razor focus and have a never-give-up attitude!
