Mobile Only Digital Assistant App Voodoo Goes Live With $1Mn Funding From SAIF Partners

How often do you shop using your mobile phone? Don’t you wish that there was someone who would quickly tell you where to find the best price for what you are buying on your mobile phone? Doesn’t it pain you when your friend tells you that she bought the same product cheaper via a different app? This is exactly the problem that Voodoo attempts to solve.

Voodoo is a true mobile only digital assistant (no humans involved) which adds a layer of magic to your mobile phone. You just keep using your phone the way you have always used, and Voodoo will automatically appear wherever it finds an opportunity to save your money, or time.

Just to explain, by a few examples: You might be shopping for a laptop on an e-commerce app. If Voodoo finds a better price on any other store, it will automatically pop up to let you know a better price to save you money. The app also mines out all the coupons that are in circulation across a variety of apps and provides a quick way to apply the coupons on the checkout page. Voodoo currently spells its magic across the followings apps -Paytm, Jabong, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Shopclues, eBAY, Myntra, HomeShop18, Indiatime etc. Support for more apps is coming soon.

The company also announced that it has raised Seed funding of $1M from SAIF Partners. Mohit Mittal & Vijay Reddy – the young co-founders plan to use this funding to build a truly unique mobile first global shopping experience.
