GameXS Funding

Pre-owned console games store GameXS, owned by Gurgaon-based Krieda Solutions Pvt Ltd. has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from Mumbai-based Lead Angels.

The raised funds will use the funding to scale up operations, expand product portfolio and hire more people.

GameXS was founded by Kabeer Jain in 2012 to offer a collection of pre-owned Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, PC games to the Indian gamers

“The typical Indian gamer is passionate and reads a lot about games and the gaming industry world over, but is not able to play most of them because of high prices. By offering fair prices and a simple and convenient checkout to buyers and sellers, and super-fast pickups and deliveries, GameXS enables gamers to get to gaming quickly while getting the most bang for their buck,” said Kabeer Jain.

By combining successful models of re-commerce and crowdsourcing, GameXS helps gamers reduce their gaming costs by over 70%. The site has processed more than 10,000 sale transactions and close to 6000 trade-in transactions with a repeat customer rate of 50%, the statement said.

With a completely automated process, GameXS now offers free doorstep pickup within one day in over 5000 pin codes.
