Seeing the on-going Uber and Ola drivers’ strike, Chandigarh based auto aggregator Jugnoo have launched its can aggregator service. The service is initially available in Gurugram with a fleet size of 100 cabs.jugnoo cabs

Jugnoo, which started as an auto rickshaw aggregator, has expanded into other hyper local segments like food and grocery delivery recently. The company had been contemplating to start the taxi aggregation business and was awaiting the right opportunity to launch the service. Jugnoo is launching this service as a pilot in Gurugram and will soon expand to other cities.

The rates offered by Jugnoo cab services are expected to be higher than current operators. Chinmay Agarwal, CTO at Jugnoo says, “The pricing that Ola and Uber are working on is unsustainable and hence our pricing will be different from them. However I cannot reveal the specifics of pricing at this moment.”

Agarwal added that the pricing is also likely to change over the course of time. However sources close to the development said that the prices are likely to be a tad higher than the prices applied by Uber and Ola. One can download the Jugnoo app from Google play store or I store and book a cab using the app.

The auto rickshaw aggregator announced its strategy to diversify its offerings and enter into yet another new vertical comes at a time when drivers are looking for an alternate solution to resolve their earnings and incentive issues.
