As the Government has rolled out GST (Good & Services Tax) on July 1, Mukesh Ambani-led Jio has come up with JioGST, a GST filing solution for merchants.
Jio is a GSP (GST Suvidha Provider), and with the new launch, it is aiming to help small retailers across the country to have a smooth transition to the new tax regime.
The JioGST Starter Kit is a mobile-first tax solution available at Rs 1,999 only which includes a software solution for one year, unlimited voice and 24 GB data for a year, a JioFi device and a billing app. The total value of these services combined is estimated at Rs.10,884. Doorstep SIM activation in select cities will be available for the JioFi device.

JioGST Starter Kit includes in-app solution for merchants, where they can file tax under GST without the need of using any other accounting software or a computer. The application automatically populates the purchase Summary for invoices.
JioFi Device
A JioFi device is included in the Rs 1,999 pack. Leveraging its 4G network, Jio is providing unlimited voice calling and 2 GB of free data monthly for one year. Along with this, the buyers are also eligible for exclusive Reliance Digital offers.
Jio Billing Application
JioGST includes an easy to use mobile application to generate invoices. Populated with a catalogue of thousands of Consumer, grocery and electronic products with tax codes, the app makes it easier to file GST for merchants.

The starter kit offers retailers to get in touch with thousands of JioGST empanelled tax practitioners and experts nearby their area. Moreover, they can even authorize a professional to file GST returns on their behalf.
GST Knowledgebase
JioGST is bundled with a knowledge series with a vast amount of information available regarding GST. Though the knowledge series anyone can reach out to tax experts via email and can attend industry specific seminars. It also comes with a dedicated Jio GST channel on JioChat for GST related updates and discovering new business partners and customers.
Having a subscriber base of nearly 109 million, Jio can certainly expect a good number of SMEs using the GST solution in coming months.
